Snail Pot or Patio Light
This piece stands 6 inches tall and can be used as a pot or patio light. Comes glazed in the inside. Holes are cut out on the pot for patio light.
Duncan paints were used on this project.
Base coat entire piece Chocolate Fudge.
Drybrush the pot area in the following order: Clove, Rust, Burnt Orange, and Terra Cotta.
Drybrush Curry, Gold, and Olive Moss added to your Terra Cotta brush. Apply to pots as shown, if necessary go back over with Terra Cotta to tone down.
Drybrush (red) snail with 2 to 3 coats of Creole Spice, followed with 2 coats of Fire Thorn. Highlight with Persimmon added to your brush.
Paint eyes using Bright Blue for the irises.
For a yellow snail, drybrush 3 to 4 coats of Curry, followed with 2 to 3 coats of Papaya. Highlight snail by adding Ivory and then a small amount of White to your brush. Blush cheeks with a small amount of Peach Blush added to your brush.
Spray with Matte Sealer.
